A Note from the Faithful Navigator of Admiral Benson
Assembly...
Welcome to the Admiral William S. Benson Assembly website!
Our Assembly is located in historic Anne Arundel County, the
site of the U.S. Naval Academy and the state capital of
Maryland, Annapolis. Our namesake, Admiral William S.
Benson, was the First CNO (Chief of Naval Operations) for
the United States Navy. We are proud of this fine Catholic Naval
Officer and his role in U.S. Naval history. This year the Assembly will be focusing its efforts on
recruiting new members into the Assembly and increasing the
involvement of our current members. In particular, I am
asking members to consider joining the Admiral Benson Assembly
Color Corps. If you are member of the assembly, please
consider joining this order of Patriotic Knights. For those of
you already active in the Color Corps, I thank you for all your
work and hope you will continue to be active. If you wish to
participate in the Color Corps, please e-mail or call Color
Corps Commander PFN Bob Welenc,
Email: bob_welenc "AT" cablespeed "DOT" com;
410-969-8303 (home); 410-487-1730 (cell).
We are always in need of workers for our Bingo nights in
Annapolis. This is the sole fundraiser for our Assembly. We
are hoping that many of you will help us with this important
fundraiser. Currently, we run the Bingo nights at the
Annapolis Council every 5th Friday, plus several additional
times during Annapolis Council's carnival season in August.
Please check the schedule below for upcoming dates. Thanks for
your consideration! If you can assist, please call Jake
Kominsky at 410-766-7872.
As members of the 4th Degree, it is our duty to inform our
fellow citizens about the role that the Holy Catholic Church and
the Knights of Columbus can play in furthering the spiritual and
moral development of American society. As representatives of
Our Nation and Our Faith, we will always fight for the Culture
of Life as an important part of the moral constitution of
American society.
Thanks,
"Pro Deo Et Patria!"
Michael P. Dunn, Faithful Navigator, PGK [10966]
